Harrah’s Ak-Chin Hotel & Casino is just outside of Phoenix, Arizona in a town named Maricopa.
It’s part of the same brand as the Harrah’s hotel and casino in Las Vegas and other places around the US.
This is a large resort that is made up of a casino, restaurants, outdoor pool, and more.
During our visit, we stayed in a Luxury King Room.

Harrah’s Ak-Chin Hotel & Casino Review
Harrah’s Ak-Chin is a sort of off the beaten path destination since it is about 45 minutes outside of Phoenix.
But this resort has everything you’d need to enjoy a getaway here with restaurants, a pool, a casino, and a nearby entertainment center.
We stayed here as part of a larger road trip across the country.
It was our last stop before returning home to California and we stayed for just about a full day.
Luxury King Room
I highly recommend checking out our room tour video at the top of this post, but if you’re unable to, here are some screenshots from that video showing a bit more of the room layout.
Again, this is the Luxury King Room.
A couple features I loved about this room include the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom and the general amount of space around the bathroom and common area.
Though it was interesting having the coffee bar in the bathroom.
I’ve been seeing this in some Hampton Inn by Hilton locations as well.
Having a small sitting area that was functional was also nice in a regular hotel room like this.
Usually there’s just one chair in these kinds of rooms and no table other than a desk and the top of the dressers.
The view from the room was also nice, overlooking a courtyard with cacti and other desert plants.

Room Pricing
If you’re a Caesar’s Rewards member, I highly recommend booking your stay through your Caesar’s account.
What’s great about Caesar’s is that if you’re traveling with someone that is also a Caesar’s Rewards member, you can combine your accounts when booking for an even better deal.
The only catch is that this person has to be traveling with you and has to be at check-in with you so they know you’re not scamming the system.
With this method, JP and I have never paid for a room at any Harrah’s property we’ve ever stayed at whether it was in Biloxi, Southern California, Arizona, or even Las Vegas.
This also helps you get complimentary upgrades as well.
We always end up just paying the resort fees or taxes, which is usually less than $50 a night.
You don’t have to be big spenders with Caesar’s to get these perks either.
You also don’t have to gamble to earn these perks.
Hotel/resort stays and dining at the restaurants on property also help you earn these rewards and special perks.
We’re both at the lowest membership level and still take advantage of these perks.
Resort Amenities
There are several dining options with a range of prices and cuisine options, including a Dunkin’ Donuts.
Other cheap options include the Copper Cactus Grill and Agave’s Restaurant, both of which serve American style and cafe style foods.
We shared a cup of soup with spaghetti and meatballs when we were at this restaurant.
A mid-range dining option is Oak & Fork which is a small plates and wine bar type of place that is open in the evenings.
Lastly, there is a steakhouse here called Chop, Block & Brew that serves steaks, prime rib, and seafood.
In addition to the dining options, there is also a casino here with a 40,000 square foot gaming floor, with 28 table games, and 1,135 slot and video poker machines.
There’s also a spa on-site and a golf course 10 miles away that works with Harrah’s guests.
Lastly, the heated pool is open year-round and has 3 hot tubs and a swim up bar.
Overall Experience
Overall, the resort was nice and clean despite how busy it can get.
We enjoyed having a quick and easy lunch sharing a bowl of soup and a plate of spaghetti and meatballs.
It was nice to do something different outside of Phoenix that we’d never done before.
Being Caesar’s Rewards members, we enjoyed our steal of a room rate ($0) and an upgrade to a luxury king room.
