The Calypso sunset dinner cruise departs from Ma’alaea Harbor.
Dinner options are pre-selected and you can choose from fresh mahi-mahi, rosemary garlic prime rib, baby back ribs, a roasted chicken leg and thigh, or a vegetarian penne pasta.
The price for adults is $139.95 and for children 3 years old and older the price is $99.95.
Children under 3 are free, however, a meal is not included for them, so they can share off of your plate or you can pay for a child’s ticket and they can have their own meal.
Drinks from the boat’s full-service bar are included with dinner for those that are 21 years old and older.
You’ll also enjoy Hawaiian music playing in the background while you enjoy your sunset dinner experience.
This will apply to all of the sunset dinner cruises on this list, but if you read the reviews, you’ll notice that it can be windy out on the water during your dinner, so you’ll want to bring a jacket.

2. Pride Of Maui Sunset Luau Dinner Cruises
The Pride of Maui dinner cruise departs from Ma’alaea Harbor as well and goes out toward the Molokini Crater.
The Pride of Maui is the only dinner cruise on this list that is also a luau!
So if you’re not able to get into any other luaus or want to kill two birds with one stone, then this sunset dinner cruise is for you.
Since this is a buffet and luau cruise, it’s a little pricier than the first one.
For adults, tickets are $185.40 and for children, tickets are $110.39, while infants are free.
Some foods on the buffet include barbecued ribs, honey-glazed chicken, stir fried vegetables, coconut potatoes, and more.
A full service open bar is also included for adults 21+.
The luau portion is much smaller and intimate than the big productions you’re probably used to, but I think it makes it a more authentic experience.
Several reviews have mentioned that sitting on the top level of the catamaran gives the best views!

3. Quicksilver Sunset Dinner Cruises
The Quicksilver sunset dinner cruise departs from Lahaina Harbor.
This sunset dinner cruise includes 2 alcoholic beverages and a 3 course dinner accompanied by live music while cruising around the Lahaina coastline.
One thing to keep in mind is that this cruise won’t begin operating again until May 2024.
Tickets are $139.95 for adults ages 13+, $99.95 for children ages 7-12, and free for children up to 6 years old.
Just like with the first cruise, meals aren’t provided for those on the free tickets, so your children under 6 can share off of your plate or you can purchase them a children’s ticket so they can have their own meal.
The first course of dinner includes a spring mix salad with tomatoes and carrots, cilantro vinaigrette, homemade buttery croutons, and a taro roll with honey butter.
For your main course you can choose from 3 options: rosemary and garlic roasted prime rib, fresh island Mahi-Mahi with lemon caper sauce, or the vegetarian option of penne pasta with Thai basil marinara.
The side dishes are steamed rice with Shoyu and sautéed vegetables.
For your third course (dessert), you’ll have banana cake with Lilikoi frosting and a cobbler topping.
With your two included alcoholic beverages for adults, you can choose from a selection of local beers, Chardonnay, Cabernet, or a selection of mixed drinks.

The Ocean Spirit sunset sail isn’t a full dinner cruise, but they offer appetizers, a full service bar, and live music.
This sunset cruise departs from Ma’alaea Harbor.
Up to 3 drinks are included with your ticket, but you can enjoy unlimited appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages during your sunset sail.
Drink options include Maui Brewing Co. beer, wine, champagne, and tropical well drinks.
Tickets for adults range from $130-$134 depending on the night you’re going.

This original sunset cruise with open bar from Ka’anapali Beach is another sunset cruise that isn’t a full dinner, but it includes appetizers and unlimited drinks.
Since Ka’anapali Beach is in the area of the wildfires, their operations don’t begin again until November, but that’s coming up very soon!
With not yet being in operation I can’t confirm what the appetizer and drink selections will be, but I’ll try to come back and update this as soon as I know.
Tickets for adults 21+ are $107.17, while tickets for youth ages 13-20 are $85.73, and children ages 3-12 are $75.02.
Children under 3 years old are free.
So even though this sunset cruise doesn’t serve a full dinner, they have over 700 reviews and maintain a 5 out of 5 star rating, which is higher than any other sunset cruise on this list!

This sunset cruise with live music and open bar from Ka’anapali Beach is similar to the one above, but with live music.
So again, this one doesn’t serve a full dinner, but they serve appetizers and drinks from the open bar.
The catamaran is on the smaller side and you’ll actually be barefoot while you’re onboard!
Some of the appetizers included are pork sliders, caprese skewers, asian slaw, and fried chicken with aioli.
They also begin operating again at the beginning of November.

Our Maui Sunset Dinner Cruise Experience
Our sunset dinner cruise was arranged by our resort, so I don’t know a whole lot about how to book it or what package it was, but I know the company was Trilogy Cruises.
Dinner consisted of several courses and unlimited drinks.
Appetizers (Pupus): Ala’e Sea Salt Breadsticks with Lilikoi Butter, Smoked Salmon on Crispy Pita with Fresh Dill, Sliced Cucumber Cup topped with Maui Onion Cream Cheese, Tataki-Style Beef Tenderloin Crostini
Salad: Trilogy Caesar Salad – Romaine Lettuce tossed with Blue Cheese Vinaigrette
Entree: Pan Seared Top Sirloin Steak with Rosemary & Garlic Crust, Fresh Island Fish Pank-Crusted with Lemon Caper Butter, Hapa-Mashed Potatoes, Steamed Vegetables
Dessert: Dessert Trio – Lilikoi Cheesecake, Fresh Island Fruit, and Dark Chocolate Truffle
Where To Stay On Maui
I highly recommend staying at Ka’anapali Beach Club when you’re visiting Maui.
This property is owned by Hilton Vacation Club (who purchased it from Diamond Resorts recently).
Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to be an owner of this timeshare to stay at this resort.
You can book your stay easily through Hotels.com at the link below.
I recommend this resort specifically because for the same price as a standard hotel room, you’ll get a full kitchen, balcony with ocean views, a jacuzzi tub, separate bedroom and living spaces, and more.
