On a recent trip passing through Las Vegas, we had the pleasure of staying at Polo Towers once again.

This time, the only room type available was an accessible one bedroom, so we took it.

We’ve never stayed in one before and we’ve never featured one on our blog, so it seemed like a great opportunity! So let’s check it out.

Polo Towers Accessible One Bedroom

We’ve covered this resort extensively in our other posts, which you can check out below.

So I’m just going to talk about the specifics of this room. With this being an accessible room, all of the counters, nightstands, and even the bed are much lower.

As someone who is barely over 5 feet tall, I quite enjoyed being able to reach all the cabinets!

There is also an alarm system that is different from what you’d normally see.

For example, if the phone rings or the smoke alarm goes off, you’ll see strobe lights in each room.

This is to accommodate someone who may not be able to hear an alarm or a phone ringing.

There are also much more handrails in the bathroom than you would normally see.

All of the walkways are large enough to accommodate a wheelchair, so it feels like you’re getting a bigger room too.

Other than that, everything else is pretty much the same you would see in any of the other rooms at Polo Towers.

I’m sure there may be other features that those who regularly use accessible rooms would notice, but those were the glaringly obvious differences to us.

A studio efficiency is great for solo travelers and the 2 bedroom units are great for families and friends.

This was our first stay at Polo Towers and let me tell you, we were not that impressed.

I would only recommend the studio efficiency room for 1 adult or maybe an adult and a small child.

Anything beyond that is too small.

We’ve stayed in this room type a couple of times and it is much more accommodating than the studio efficiency.

We like having space to work, having a full kitchen, and having a separate studio room attached so that whoever is staying with us has their own space.
