1. Orange County Mining Co.
Location: 10000 Crawford Canyon Rd Orange, CA 92705
Orange County Mining Co. has been a landmark restaurant since opening in 1974.
This steakhouse is rustic, cozy, and casual.
Being in the hills, there are great panoramic views looking down at the rest of Orange County.
We could even see Downtown LA from the patio until a storm rolled in.
They are known for their cheesy bread and we highly recommend their fried mac n cheese balls and their filet mignon.
Their meals come with a side salad as well.
We shared all of this and we were still too full for dessert.
2. Orange Hill Restaurant
Location: 6410 East Chapman Avenue, Orange, California, 92869
Orange Hill Restaurant is a hilltop restaurant with amazing steaks and views.
Being situated in the hills of Orange County, you’ll get views of Catalina Island, Downtown Los Angeles, Disneyland’s fireworks and the California coastline.
As you enter, you’ll be greeted with cascading waterfalls, koi ponds and a fireplace.
3. Summit House Restaurant
Location: 2000 E. Bastanchury Road Fullerton, California 92835
Summit House is meant to be a re-creation of old English inns.
It opened back in 1989 and has been a popular date night spot and wedding venue ever since.
Similar to Five Crowns, Summit House is known for their prime rib, which also comes with yorkshire pudding, creamed corn, and creamed spinach.
4. Duke’s Huntington Beach
Location: 317 Pacific Coast Highway, Huntington Beach, CA 92648
Duke’s is a classic beachfront restaurant in Huntington Beach just to the side of the pier.
So of course the ocean views here are as good as they get.
5. The Hangout Restaurant & Beach Bar
Location: 901 Ocean Ave, Seal Beach, CA 90740 and 16490 Bolsa Chica St, Huntington Beach, CA 92649
The Hangout is so good they have two locations!
They specialize in southern inspired classic foods.
The Seal Beach location is directly across from the pier, so it has great ocean views.
They open daily at 7 am, so it’s a great place to enjoy breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and late night bites.
The Huntington Beach location is near Huntington Harbour and is considered a bit of a hidden gem.
It also has long hours from breakfast through late nights.
6. The Deck
Location: 627 Sleepy Hollow Lane, Laguna Beach, CA 92651
The Deck is open from 11 am – 8 pm during the week and they stay open an extra hour on Fridays and Saturdays.
They don’t take reservations, so it’s a great place for a spur of the moment visit.
In Orange County, people tend to take their pets with them everywhere, but this is not one of those places!
Being in Laguna Beach, The Deck has great ocean views.
They also have some sister restaurants including, Hendrix at Ocean Ranch, and Driftwood Kitchen.
7. The Cliff Restaurant

The Cliff is another great oceanfront dining location in Laguna Beach with 180 degree ocean views.
They offer a multi level patio dining experience for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Visit during happy hour Monday through Friday from 3 pm – 6pm.
They also offer seasonal specials and deals.
8. The FIFTH Rooftop Restaurant & Bar
Location: 1650 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92802
The FIFTH is located just across the street from Disneyland and is a great place to enjoy nightly fireworks shows since you’re on the rooftop.
They are open only in the evenings after 5 pm.
If you want to do a little more than just a nice night out with dinner and drinks, you can even rent out portions of the rooftop for a party.
It’s a great option for 21st birthdays.
Their menu has a little bit of everything from burgers to sandwiches to pastas to flatbreads to tacos and more.
During happy hour on Tuesday-Thursday from 5-7 pm you can get drinks for $6-$8 and appetizers for $10.
9. Top of the V
Location: 1601 S Anaheim Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92805
Top of the V serves dinner daily from 5 pm – 10 pm + late night dining options until midnight on weekends.
Their cuisine represents the Basque Country of Spain.
Top of the V is on the 12th floor of The Viv Hotel along with the rooftop pool and firepits.
Here you’ll get great views of the surrounding theme parks like Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm.
