Las Vegas is one of those places where you think a long weekend will be plenty of time, until you start planning and realize just how much there is to do.

Between the endless resorts, restaurants, shows, and attractions, itโ€™s easy to feel overwhelmed, especially when youโ€™re trying to plan something that feels romantic, not rushed.

This 3 day Las Vegas itinerary for couples is designed to help you make the most of a short getaway without running yourselves ragged.

It focuses on the center of The Strip, grouping activities by location so you can spend more time enjoying each other and less time walking miles or hopping in Ubers.

3 Day Las Vegas Itinerary For Couples

The first day should be spent at the Las Vegas icons – The Bellagio and The Cosmopolitan.

Between the two, there are great restaurants, unique speakeasies, and free entertainment.

Day two is all about Caesar’s Palace, the LINQ Promenade, and The Venetian.

These resorts also have great restaurants, desserts, and happy hours.

On the final day, you’ll get to explore my favorite resort, Paris!

This article is also featured on GPSmyCity.

To download this article for offline reading or create a self-guided walking tour to visit the attractions highlighted in this article, go to Walking Tours and Articles in Las Vegas.

Day 1: Bellagio, Cosmopolitan, Grand Bazaar Shops

Other than checking in to your resort, the very first thing you should do is sign up for all the free rewards programs if you plan to visit Vegas again in the future.

It’s best to go directly to the rewards desk inside each casino, even if you’re not doing any gambling.

Most casinos in Vegas are part of either Caesar’s Rewards or MGM Rewards, so once you sign up at one place, you won’t need to do it again at each place you visit.

These rewards programs are great for earning free stays and other perks by scanning your rewards card for any dining, merchandise, or hotel stay purchases throughout your visit.

After you’ve squared this away, it’s time for some food.

Lunch: Noodles at The Bellagio

The one restaurant we visit on every single trip to Vegas is Noodles.

This is a mid-scale Chinese restaurant just off of the lobby at the Bellagio.

Going here is what makes our Vegas weekends feel like they’ve officially started.

You absolutely must try their Sweet and Spicy Noodles.

I don’t eat spicy food, but I get these noodles every time I’m in Vegas.

The portions here are great for sharing 2-3 dishes so you can sample a variety of menu items.

I recommend pairing these noodles with Pan Fried Pot Stickers.

These pot stickers have a ton of pork and veggies in them and the sear on them just can’t be beat.

Their dipping sauce is light too, so all around it’s a great appetizer to try while you’re here.

Sometimes we also add a side of bbq pork fried rice.

The bbq flavoring on the pork is just so much better than we’ve had anywhere else.

Lastly, you should definitely enjoy some hot tea with your meal.

Free Activity: Take A Stroll Through The Bellagio Conservatory

Walk off your meal with a visit just across the lobby to the Bellagio Conservatory.

This is an indoor flower and garden exhibit that changes regularly throughout the year (we think maybe quarterly).

It is so beautiful and it’s a great place to get some photos together.

Usually during the Winter we see themes for the Lunar New Year.

In past years I’ve also seen an aquarium theme, a fall forest theme, and a tropical island theme.

Drinks: The Grand Bazaar Shops

If you’re into drinks, now is a great time to try a couple different places just across the street from the Bellagio at the Grand Bazaar Shops, which has a variety of restaurants, bars, and gift shops.

All weekend long you’ll see people handing out coupons (among other things) to anyone that will take them.

One that we’ve seen every trip since 2016 is 2 for 1 drinks at Fuel Bar.

Just across the aisle from Fuel Bar is Island Time Tiki Floats, another cocktail bar where you can enjoy tropical drinks.

Dinner: Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Sports Kitchen

Guy Fieri’s restaurants are best known for their Trash Can Nachos.

You could share these and that would be your whole dinner!

On one of our visits we also tried their mac n cheese burger, which was fantastic!

It’s definitely a lot of food for just 2 people though.

If you somehow have room for dessert or you want to order one to save for later, they also have a massive chocolate cake with chocolate and caramel drizzles and all kinds of crunchy toppings.

Evening: See The Famous Bellagio Fountains (Also Free!)

Before you end your night, be sure to check out the free Bellagio Fountains show.

Depending on the season and the day of the week, this show runs roughly every 15 or 30 minutes.

Each show is just a few minutes long and it is synced with different songs, so each time you watch it you’ll get a different show!

Bonus: Cosmopolitan Speakeasies & Bars

Right next door to the Bellagio is the Cosmopolitan.

They are very well known for their speakeasy restaurants and bars.

So if you’re still wanting to explore more on day one, here are some of the coolest speakeasies and bars in all of Las Vegas.

Ski Lodge

The Ski Lodge looks exactly like you’d expect a cozy ski lodge to look.

There’s an animated window behind the bar, setting the scene.

You can get great mocktails at all of these places by the way, so you don’t have to be binge drinking to try all of these suggestions!

The Barbershop

This speakeasy looks like a regular barbershop, but there’s a back door where you can enter into a venue with live music.

The theme is like a prohibition-era whiskey bar.

Ghost Donkey

Ghost Donkey is probably the most well-known of the Cosmopolitan speakeasies.

It’s hidden in the food court and you have to find the door with the donkey on it.

This bar is very small and they’re known for their tequila drinks.

Chandelier Bar

This is the only one that’s not a speakeasy, but just a regular bar.

Look for the giant chandelier that spans several floors of the hotel and you’ll find it!

What’s noteworthy about this bar in particular is a secret menu item called the Verbena that has a special flower garnish.

When you eat this flower, it makes your tongue numb and tingling.

Day 2: Caesar’s Palace, LINQ Promenade, and The Venetian

The first day was heavily focused on The Bellagio, Cosmopolitan, and the Grand Bazaar shops across the street.

Today, we’re going to explore Caesar’s Palace and The Venetian.

Morning: Test Your Skills At The Escape Game

Escape rooms are so fun to do as just a couple because it’s a good bonding and team-working and communication experience.

This escape room is located inside of the Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace and they generally start running around 9 am.

We like to do these kinds of activities first thing in the morning before they get too busy and sometimes it’s cheaper to go during non-peak times.

There are many themes to choose from including Prison Break, Gold Rush, The Heist, Special Ops, The Playground, and more!

On our trip, we did Gold Rush, but we did The Heist and Special Ops in San Francisco, and we did The Playground in Cincinnati.

Mid-Morning: Shop Til You Drop At The Forum Shops At Caesar’s Palace

While you’re in the Forum Shops, you might as well do some shopping, even if it’s just window shopping.

They have stores for pretty much every type of budget possible.

I personally just enjoy the architecture, people watching, and getting my steps in.

Lunch: LINQ Promenade Eateries

Across the street from Caesar’s Palace/Forum Shops is the LINQ Promenade, which has a bunch of shops, restaurants, and activities.

If you’ve never been to In-N-Out, this is a great place to give it a try.

I’ve never eaten at this location, but I lived in California for 8 years, so I’ve had it plenty of times.

Get your burger with caramelized onions and get your fries animal style!

Jaburritos

If you’ve ever wanted to try a sushi burrito, this is your chance!

I actually don’t really eat sushi, but there are more tame options like a California Roll burrito that are a good introduction to what sushi is like.

Off The Strip

I’ve only been here for happy hour, which at the time included a phenomenal mac n cheese.

Currently, their happy hour menu just includes starters for $10 and drinks for $5.

Also, happy hour is only from 2 pm – 5pm on Mondays through Thursdays now.

Sweet Sin

Sweet Sin is a cute little ice cream shop to check out if you want a little sweet treat before heading off to The Venetian.

Early Afternoon: Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum

What’s special about this location is that there is a section for some of Vegas’ most notorious performers.

Plus a tribute to one of the most popular Vegas movies – The Hangover.

It’s located at The Venetian along with our other recommendations for the day, so you won’t have to travel far to get here.

Afternoon: Enjoy A Romantic Gondola Ride

The Venetian is famous for their gondola rides, indoors and outdoors.

These rides start as early as 10 am usually and will run as late as 11 pm or midnight, depending on the day of the week.

If you’re visiting in the Summer when it’s really hot, I recommend the indoor gondola ride or wait until after the sun sets to do the outdoor gondola ride.

Additionally, if it’s too cold outside, the indoor gondola may be your only option.

If you time your gondola ride to 9:45 am or 4:20 pm, you can catch The Gondolier March along the indoor canal.

It’s a special tradition that only happens at these times.

Dinner: Happy Hours at The Venetian

The Venetian is home to some of our favorite happy hours in Las Vegas.

Depending on what time you make your way over here, you’ve got quite a few happy hours to choose from.

It’s mostly small plates and drinks, so you should be able to go to 2-3 restaurants and sample a few different things.

Mercato della Pescheria

Happy Hour here is every day from 3 pm – 6 pm.

Everything on the Happy Hour menu is $7-$11.

I highly recommend their meatballs.

You’ll also get complimentary bread with olive oil for dipping.

Brera Osteria

Happy Hour here is every day from 2 pm – 5 pm.

Pizza, cocktails, and some wines are 50% off during happy hour and there is a special selection of small plates.

I have somehow lost all of my photos from the happy hours we’ve enjoyed here, but they’re pretty similar to Mercato della Pescheria and Canaletto.

Canaletto

Canaletto hosts Happy Hour daily from 3 pm – 6 pm at the bar area only.

Most drinks are $9-$11 and most foods are $12-$17.

We’ve been quite a few times and I love their Margherita Pizza, but JP prefers the Pizza Salsiccia Piccante.

The Bruschetta and Calamari are also great appetizers.

Their happy hour cocktail selection has something for pretty much every type of liquor.

Sugarcane

Sugarcane has a bit more limited happy hour, which is only on Sundays through Thursdays, but they do 2 happy hours a day.

Once from 3 pm – 6 pm and then again from 10 pm – close.

Most appetizers are $5-$9 and drinks are $7-$8.

When we went, we got a slider topped with a quail egg, which I don’t think is on their happy hour menu anymore, but it might be on their main menu.

Based off of the current menu, I’d definitely get the bacon wrapped dates!

But their seasoned fries and cocktails are great too.

Dessert: Bouchon Bakery

Try a Chocolate Bouchon, their signature treat.

I first learned about this dessert in a Ratatouille (the Disney movie) cookbook for children.

It had this exclusive recipe, so of course I’ve made my own a handful of times over the years.

I love to get these from the Bouchon Bakeries whenever I’m in a place that has them.

I’ve only ever had them here in Vegas and in Napa.

Day 3: Paris & Miracle Mile Shops

Now it’s time for my all-time favorite resort, Paris!

I’m only going to share a half day itinerary here since most of the time if you’re coming in for a weekend visit you won’t have 3 full days to squeeze in everything.

This will also give you some wiggle room for either sleeping in or enjoying any detours that catch your eye.

Breakfast: Mon Ami Gabi.

Mon Ami Gabi opens as early as 7 am for breakfast.

Pick a spot on the patio and take in the sun rise and quietness of morning in Vegas.

Mon Ami Gabi restaurant entrance inside Paris Las Vegas

I recommend the Ham and Cheese Omelette and the Corned Beef Hash with Poached Eggs.

Mid-Morning: Aqua Massage & Miracle Mile Shops

Inside the Miracle Mile Shops right next to Mon Ami Gabi is one of many Aqua Massage locations throughout the Vegas Strip.

Enjoy a quick 10-20 minute session to decompress before heading home.

Many locations also have Oxygen Bars that are a great complement to your massage.

Snack: Crepes from La Creperie

One of the last things we always do on our trips to Vegas is to get a nutella and banana crepe from La Creperie at Paris.

A tip though – don’t go on a Sunday at check out time.

You’ll probably wait in an hour long line and that’s just not fun.

Where To Stay In Vegas For Couples

There are so many options and so many themed resorts that it can be hard to narrow down the best options.

Since this is a couples weekend getaway, we want to share some of the more romantic resorts.

Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino

What could be more romantic than a weekend in Paris?

Paris is centrally located in the middle of the Strip and the rooms are usually pretty cheap compared to some of the others properties in the area.

Paris Las Vegas Burgundy King Room

Bellagio Hotel & Casino

Centrally located in the middle of the Strip, this hotel is perfect for this weekend getaway itinerary.

Especially since day 1 is mostly spent here.

I recommend booking one of their Stay Well rooms if you can.

These rooms have jacuzzi tubs and lots of wellness amenities to enhance your stay.

More Fun Things To Do In Las Vegas

We visit Las Vegas all the time and have shared just about everything we can possibly think of.

So if you’re thinking of visiting for a little bit longer or if you’re traveling with friends or family, we’ve got even more great itinerary ideas!

Each recommendation below links to a full blog post with all the details.

So many shops, restaurants, and casinos offer free things just for coming to Vegas to celebrate your birthday.

Make sure to take advantage of as many of these offers as you can.

That’s what they’re there for!

Things To Do In Vegas Besides Gambling

Vegas is known for being a gambler’s paradise.

But if that’s not really your thing, there are still a ton of other things to do to entertain yourself on your trip.

Like taking a trip on the High Roller Observation Wheel on the LINQ Promenade!

Things To Do in Las Vegas Off The Strip

This itinerary just covered the center of the Las Vegas Strip, but there’s a lot of fun things to do outside of this area too.

Attend A Timeshare Presentation

Everywhere you go in Vegas someone will be asking you to attend their timeshare presentation.

Even if you have no interest in purchasing a timeshare, it may be worth a couple hours of your time because of all the freebies they offer just for attending.

As long as you’re good at saying no!

AREA15

AREA15 is a really cool entertainment district that has activities for all ages.

There are immersive exhibits, axe throwing, an arcade, and so much more.

It’s great for those ultra hot days in the Summer or the cold and rainy days in the Winter.

Neon Museum

If you’ve never been, I highly recommend checking out The Neon Museum on your next Vegas trip.

This museum has a “boneyard” of all the old, classic neon signs from past Vegas resorts, casinos, and attractions.

They even have a night time show that brings them all to life.

Conclusion: 3 Day Las Vegas Itinerary For Couples

Las Vegas has so much to do that you can’t see and do it all in just one weekend.

This itinerary covers the center of The Strip so that you can spend your time enjoying the experiences available here, rather than spending all your time walking or taking an Uber back and forth to each end of The Strip or to downtown or other areas.

I previously shared some more Vegas itineraries and things to do if you are able to branch out to other areas and I shared even more restaurant recommendations if you find yourself in other areas.

But if you’re visiting Las Vegas as part of a larger trip or if you want to see some of the nearby attractions, check out our list of all of our posts about Las Vegas.
