Couples Weekend Getaway In Las Vegas Itinerary

Looking to enjoy a fun and romantic weekend in Vegas with your significant other?

With endless possibilities, it can be hard to figure out exactly what to do and how to fit it all in to a weekend getaway.

This is a foolproof couples weekend getaway in Las Vegas whether it’s your first visit or you’ve been dozens of times (like we have).

Couples Weekend Getaway Day 1 – Arrival Day

Let’s assume you’re flying in or driving in and you’re arriving some time around the mid-afternoon.

If you’re flying in, you’ll want to book your airport transfer in advance just so you have one less thing to worry about on your romantic couples weekend getaway.

Start your romantic couples getaway off easy so you’ve got energy for the rest of the weekend.

Other than checking in to your resort, here’s what you should do very first thing.

✅ Sign Up For Free Rewards Programs

Be sure to go to the rewards desk at any casino you’re visiting and sign up for their free rewards programs (as long as you are 21+ years old).

Most casinos on the Las Vegas Strip are part of either Caesar’s Rewards or MGM Rewards, so once you sign up at one place, you won’t need to do it again everywhere you go.

These rewards programs are great for earning free stays and other perks.

You can earn rewards by gambling or by scanning your rewards card for any purchases at properties part of your rewards program.

This includes dining and merchandise. So even if you’re not doing any gambling, these rewards cards will still help you enjoy future trips.

✅ Enjoy A Quiet Dinner At The Bellagio

The number one restaurant we recommend in all of Las Vegas is Noodles, inside The Bellagio.

You absolutely must try their Sweet and Spicy Noodles. I don’t eat spicy food, but I get these noodles every time I’m in Vegas.

The portions here are great for sharing 2-3 dishes so you can sample a variety of menu items.

I recommend pairing these noodles with Pan Fried Pot Stickers. These pot stickers have a ton of pork and veggies in and the sear on the pan fried pot stickers just can’t be beat.

Their dipping sauce is light too, so all around it’s a great appetizer to try while you’re here.

Sometimes we also add a side of bbq pork fried rice. The bbq flavoring on the pork is just so much better than we’ve had anywhere else.

Lastly, you should definitely enjoy some hot tea with your meal.

✅ Take A Stroll Through The Bellagio Conservatory (It’s Free!)

Walk off your dinner with a visit just across the lobby to the Bellagio Conservatory.

This is an indoor flower and garden exhibit that changes regularly throughout the year (we think maybe quarterly).

It is so beautiful and it’s a great place to get some photos together.

Usually during the Winter we see themes for the Lunar New Year. In past years I’ve also seen an aquarium theme, a fall forest theme, and a tropical island theme

✅ See The Famous Bellagio Fountains (Also Free!)

Head outside to watch the famous Bellagio Fountains! Depending on the time of night and the day of the week, this show runs every 15 or 30 minutes.

Pick any spot along the sidewalk to enjoy the show. Each one is a few minutes long and it is synced with different songs.

So you can even come back and keep checking out the show throughout your trip and see something new each time.

✅ Enjoy A Night Cap At The Grand Bazaar

All weekend long you’ll see people handing out coupons (among other things) to anyone that will take them.

One that we’ve seen every trip since 2016 is 2 for 1 drinks at Fuel Bar.

So after checking out the Bellagio Fountains, head across the street to the Grand Bazaar Shops outside of Horseshow (formerly Bally’s).

Just across the aisle from Fuel Bar is Island Time Tiki Floats, another cocktail bar where you can enjoy tropical drinks.

Check out either one or both before heading back to your resort for the night!

Couples Weekend Getaway Day 2

Make the most of your only full day in Vegas by visiting the most popular attractions and making the weekend a romantic getaway.

☑️ Test Your Skills At The Escape Game

Today, start your day at The Escape Game Las Vegas! This escape room is located inside of the Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace.

They have escape room times that generally start just after 9 am. We like to do these kinds of activities first thing in the morning before they get too busy.

The Escape Game has many themes to choose from including Prison Break, Gold Rush, The Heist, Special Ops, and more!

Do you have what it takes to escape in 60 minutes or less?

☑️ Shop Til You Drop At The Forum Shops At Caesar’s Palace

While you’re in the Forum Shops, you might as well do some shopping.

There’s a variety of shops for just about every budget from the highest of luxuries, to super affordable souvenirs to take home.

Also take some time to admire the architecture and fountains throughout the shops.

This is another great area for photos.

☑️ Escape To Venice For Happy Hour

The Venetian is home to some of our favorite happy hours in Las Vegas.

Depending on the time you make your way over here, you’ve got quite a few happy hours to choose from.

Mercato della Pescheria

Happy Hour here is every day from 3 pm – 6 pm. Everything on the Happy Hour menu is $7.

I highly recommend their meatballs. You’ll also get complimentary bread with olive oil for dipping.

Brera Osteria

Happy Hour here is every day from 3 pm – 5 pm. There are vegetarian options for $6-$9 including bruschetta, olives, charred cauliflower, and cheese fonduta.

There are some fish options for $9-$12 including salmon, mussels, and shrimp.

Additionally, there are some meat options for $8-$16 including meatballs, lardo al pepe, and beef tartare.

Lastly, there are several pizza options for $7-$10.

Canaletto

Canaletto hosts Happy Hour daily from 4 pm – 6 pm at the bar area only. They offer $10 appetizers and $7 drinks.

I highly recommend their Margherita pizza and calamari.

Sugarcane Raw Bar and Grill

Happy Hour here is every day from 4 pm – 6 pm. Drinks are $6 and appetizers are $5-$6.

Their slider topped with a quail egg is interesting and adventurous. They also have good frozen drinks.

☑️ Enjoy A Romantic Gondola Ride

The Venetian is famous for their gondola rides, indoors and outdoors.

These rides start as early as 10 am usually and will run as late as 11 pm or midnight, depending on the day of the week.

If you’re visiting in the Summer when it’s really hot, I recommend the indoor gondola ride or wait until after the sun sets to do the outdoor gondola ride.

Additionally, if it’s too cold outside, the indoor gondola may be your only option.

If you time your gondola ride to 9:45 am or 4:20 pm, you can catch The Gondolier March along the indoor canal.

It’s a special tradition that only happens at these times.

☑️ See Your Favorite Celebrities At Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum

What’s special about this location is that there is a section for some of Vegas’ most notorious performers.

Plus a tribute to one of the most popular Vegas movies – The Hangover.

It’s located at The Venetian along with our other recommendations for the day, so you won’t have to travel far to get here.

☑️ Treat Yourself To A Unique Dinner Experience

There are so many great restaurants to choose from at The Venetian, Grand Canal Shoppes, and The Palazzo.

Here are some of the most popular spots, so choose your own adventure here:

Tao Asian Bistro

Tao Asian Bistro is an award winning restaurant and celebrity favorite. The cuisine here covers everything from Chinese to Japanese to Thai.

The atmosphere is really immersive here with a 20 foot Buddha statue that floats above an infinity pool filled with Japanese koi.

If it’s your thing, enjoy the TAO nightclub after your dinner.

Smith & Wollensky

If a steakhouse is more what you’re feeling tonight, I recommend Smith & Wollensky.

They have a variety of USDA Prime Steakhouse Cuts and American Wagyu steaks.

For something more original, try the Coffee & Cocoa Rubbed 10 oz Filet with ancho chili butter and angry onions.

Or maybe share a meal with the Surf & Turf For Two which comes with an 18 oz filet, twin lobster tails with garlic butter, and chimichurri.

Bouchon

This French restaurant by famous chef Thomas Keller (no relation to me) is a must try at least once experience.

Thomas Keller’s restaurants are Michelin starred, James Beard award winning, and even named “the best restaurant ever” by Anthony Bourdain.

You’ve probably heard of The French Laundry, which is the most renowned restaurant in the US.

Bouchon is the next best thing since it’s by the same chef and it’s in Vegas!

While you’re there, check out the Bouchon Bakery and try a Chocolate Bouchon.

It is one of my favorite treats and I’ve even learned to make them myself at home.

Couples Weekend Getaway Day 3

You’re probably driving back home or flying back home today, so we’ll keep it simple.

✅ Enjoy A Leisurely Breakfast At The Best Parisian Cafe

Start your day at Mon Ami Gabi. They open as early as 7 am for breakfast.

This way you can enjoy your last few hours in Vegas before you have to check out and head home.

Pick a spot on the patio and take in the sun rise and quietness of morning in Vegas.

I recommend the Ham and Cheese Omelette.

✅ Rejuvenate With An Aqua Massage

Inside the Miracle Mile Shops right next to Mon Ami Gabi is one of many Aqua Massage locations along the Vegas Strip.

Enjoy a quick 10-20 minute session to decompress before heading home.

Many locations also have Oxygen Bars that are a great complement to your massage. Different scents to choose from can help you get in whatever mood you’re looking for.
